Go for a uniform façade look and paint the edges of Rockpanel panels.

As a designer, you naturally have an eye for detail, from design to completion of the façade. To realize your desired façade design, you can choose profiles or corner solutions, even though the edges of Rockpanel facade panels do not need to be treated against moisture. But if you strive for a completely uniform finish, have the edges of the Rockpanel boards painted in the same color.

Joints and corners are integral to the implementation of a Rockpanel façade. On-site cut panels do not require any further treatment against weather conditions and can be left visible as such. Over time, the edges will discolor to a dark brown under the influence of sunlight. Don't want this? No worries, there are solutions!

Craftsmanship: miter joints

Do you know a highly experienced installer? Then they can finish the corners with miter joints for a seamless result. This method is only possible if the panel thickness is at least 8 mm.

If miter joints are not an option and you still prefer a joint that blends into the façade's appearance, opt for edge painting in the same color as the panels. Order the matching color paint in combination with or after purchasing the panels.

Tips for quality execution 

Naturally, paint the edges before mounting the Rockpanel panels. Preparation is key: the edges must be clean, dust-free, and dry. Remove the protective film from the panels to prevent paint from getting under it. Then, apply a first coat, one edge at a time. Let the first layer dry and then apply a second coat. Certain colors such as yellow or orange may require a third coat to achieve full coverage.
