New office building takes the stage

Integrating front facades and doors 

Over the past few years, the Nijs family has noticed a new trend in the construction and renovation sector: finishing the facade, sectional door and front door as a whole. As a result, this total façade solution offers a harmonious ensemble of colours, lines and patterns from the gates, to the doors, to the garage.  With their MATRIX DOORS Concept facades department, the company is responding to the trend in which the garage door is incorporated into the design thanks to the uniform façade cladding. 

Office and showroom 

BAO-architecten was responsible for the design of the new building. “The existing warehouse was located on a limited construction zone where the two gates had to remain accessible at all times,” says the design team. “That is why we opted for a floating structure in metal to realize the large spans and the height above the gate with a guaranteed free passage for transport. The volume is supported by a black plinth on the left; everything else consists of a steel structure and a timber frame with blown-in insulation.” 

A beautiful and durable facade 

As a specialist in this field, MATRIX DOORS itself was responsible for the cladding of the building. A sleek play of lines, originating from the dimensions of the boards, gives the building its distinctive look. The white facade areas were finished with Rockpanel Colours boards in RAL 9010. “The choice fell on Rockpanel Colors panels because they guarantee a sleek appearance and thanks to the light weight, we were able to work with large boards”, says MATRIX DOORS. “The preparation consisted of sawing approximately 270 m2 of cladding boards to size in our workshop. We then glued them onto the facade construction.” The Nijs family has already received many compliments about the new office. "The facade looks sleek and modern and is a great showcase of what we can do as a company."
