DEUTSCHE ROCKWOOL has successfully completed a thorough refurbishment in Gladbeck, showcasing a model of modernization. One of its office buildings - built in 1974 and home to Deutsche ROCKWOOL – underwent a significant transformation in terms of energy efficiency and aesthetics. With an extension adding 435 m2 of floor space, the building was propelled into the forefront of the third millennium. A major focus was reducing heat loss, achieved through optimising the insulation throughout the building envelope. As a result, the heating requirement now stands at a mere 70.85 kWh per year per square metre. Rockpanel Colours and Premium were used to clad the facades on three of the four upper floors of the existing building.
